Over the next few months, the Board and staff will be evaluating the pandemic’s trajectory, the meeting experiences, and essential public health measures. One thing you can be certain of is, there will be a meeting in 2021 – in-person or virtual! Our first priority will be public health, including the safety of our attendees, their communities, and the community in our destination. We additionally desire to ensure we have an excellent attendee experience. Through uncertain times, you can depend on ACLM to be there with exemplary education and the largest forum for sharing emerging trends in lifestyle medicine. We will continue to provide additional information as soon as it is available and look forward to your participation in all ACLM activities throughout 2021.

1. What is the refund/cancellation policy? 

Registration fees, less a 15% administrative fee, are refundable up to September 22, 2021. After this date you may choose to send someone else in your place without an additional fee.  To request a refund or make a change to your registration please send an email to events@lifestylemedicine.org 
 
2. What does my conference registration fee include? 
Paid conference registration includes all course materials, access to online presentation slide decks, CME/CE credits, lifestyle medicine inspired meals (three breakfasts, two lunches, and two receptions/light dinners as well as breaks each day), exercise and networking opportunities such as the Trainee’s Fun Run, yoga, geo-specific networking events etc. 
 
Pre and Post-Conference workshops are additional and require separate registration.  These can be added a la carte during registration. If you would like to add workshops after you have registered you will be able to add them to your existing registration once workshops have been posted 
 
3. How much does it cost to attend?  
General registration – NOT including pre and post-conference workshops.
If you register by:
February 22 – April 18 Members $649/Non-Members $749 
April 19 – August 15 Members $749/Non-Members $849 
August 16 – event Members $949/Non-Members $1049 
 
Pre and Post-Conference Workshop Pricing as follows:  
3-Hour Workshops: $120 members / $140 non-members 
 
General event registration will close on November 2, 2021 or when maximum capacity for main ballroom is reached.  Pre and Post-Conference Workshop registration will close on October 15, 2021 or when capacity is reached for each workshop. 
 
4. I am a student - how do I register to attend LM2021? 
The general conference student rate (not including workshops) is $449 Student Members and $549 Student Non-Members.   If you are a student or resident, please use this form to apply for a Conference Registration Scholarship from ACLM to attend LM2021.  You will be required to verify your enrollment status through your academic institution free of charge, or by visiting the Student National Clearing House and pay a processing fee.  Residents will need to submit a signed letter of employment.  Scholarship Applications are due by June 1, 2021.  No scholarship applications will not be accepted after this date.  If you are not selected, you will receive a special code for you to use during your registration process to get the student rate.  Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group (LMIG) leaders and ACLM Trainee members receive priority for LM2021 scholarships.  To become a member, click here.  To establish a LMIG, click here.  Event registration will close on November 2, 2021 or when maximum capacity for main ballroom is reached. 
 
 
5. What is the deadline to register for a pre or post-conference workshop? 
Pre and Post-Conference Workshop registration will close on October 15, 2021 or when the maximum capacity for the workshop has been reached.  The intent of the workshop environment is to take a deeper dive into each topic.  The number of attendees is therefore critical to the way each workshop functions.  In addition, many of the workshops have pre-work encouraged by the workshop leaders to be completed beforehand. 
 
6. What is the full schedule of LM2021 Conference? 
The conference begins Sunday, November 7 through Wednesday, November 10, with optional Pre and Post-Conference workshops taking place on Saturday, November 6, Sunday, November 7 and Wednesday, November 10 once the conference concludes.  
 
7. Who should attend? 
Physicians, specialists, primary care physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, dietitians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, social workers, speech audiologists, psychologists, and other professions seeking to learn more about Lifestyle Medicine and/or establish or grow Lifestyle Medicine practices as well as health-promoting organizations looking to collaborate in this movement. 
 
8. How many CME and CE Credits are available at the event? 
The American College of Lifestyle Medicine conference will provide the following: 
  •  CME for physicians 
  • CPE for pharmacists 
  • CNE for nurses 
  • CE for dietitians 
  • CE for national board-certified health coaches 
  • AAFP credits 
  • ABLM MOC  
  • ABPM MOC 
  • ABIM MOC

9. What is the Special Group Sleeping Room Rate? 
A special guest room rate starting at $189 plus tax and $20 Daily Resort Charge per day has been reserved for LM2021 attendees.  To make your reservation, please visit online reservations or call Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center Reservations at 1-888-537-9274 and reference AMERICAN COLLEGE OF LIFESTYLE MEDICINE to get this special rate.

The Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center daily resort charge is mandatory.  This resort charge includes two bottles of water per day in guest room, in-room enhanced internet access, local and domestic long-distance calls, exclusive use of Cowboys Golf Club practice facility to include unlimited range balls for use on the driving range, chipping and putting facility, two bicycle rentals available at concierge desk (waiver required). Please contact the Gaylord Texan Resort if you need more information about this charge.

Change and cancellation policy for guests with existing reservations for any future arrival date, including pre-paid reservations, full changes or cancellations are permitted at no charge up to 72 hours prior to arrival.

Wireless and Wired internet is provided in guest rooms and included in Daily Resort Fee

Limited WIFI bandwidth will be available in the meeting space please download presentation slides prior to arriving at the conference or in your guest room. 
 
11.  Hotel Parking 
Onsite daily parking fees:  
$17 - 0-2 hours 
$19 – 2-4 hours 
$22 – 4+ hours  
$22 - overnight fee per day. Overnight parking fees include in/out privileges. 
Valet parking fee: $31 day parking and $42 overnight parking – Valet available Thu-Sun only.

Driving directions 
If renting a car, it will be a 10-minute drive from airport. Take the north exit out of the airport towards highways 635/121. Travel north on 121 to the Bass Pro exit. Turn left onto Bass Pro Drive. Continue straight past the Embassy Suites on the right and at the traffic light turn left onto Highway 26 West. Proceed through the traffic light at Fairway Drive and turn right into the hotel entrance on Gaylord Trail.  Approximately 
 
13.  Hotel Airport Transportation 
Gaylord Texan Resort will provide shared transportation services to and from DFW Airport every 30 minutes (at every hour and half hour) between 5 am - 8 pm daily. The fee is $17 per person. Guests arriving to DFW Airport should call 817-778-2400 to book their transportation to the hotel. Guests departing from the hotel to DFW Airport can also call to make a reservation, or simply walk up to the transportation podium on the front drive. 
 
14. Suggested meeting attire   
Business casual and comfortable shoes.  Bring light jacket or cardigan in case meeting room temperatures run cold.  
 
15.  What meals are included?

16. Will there be Plant-based, gluten and dairy free meal options available? 
ACLM and the hotel will create custom plant-based Lifestyle Medicine menus for this event.  If you are gluten free or have other dietary meal restrictions and allergies please let us know at least two weeks prior to your arrival to help ensure the hotel can accommodate you. 
 
17. Can my significant other attend meals? 
Meals-Only Registrations will NOT be available for purchase.  The Gaylord Texan Resort has 10 on-site restaurants that serves delicious food, and some have great views of Lake Grapevine. Please visit Gaylord Texan Resort Dining for more information. 
 
18. Can my family participate in the Fun Run? 
Yes!  The ACLM Trainees would love for your whole family attend.
