Join the Primary Care Collaborative (PCC) for a discussion about reimagining primary care to better integrate lifestyle medicine, behavioral health and non-pharmacological interventions.
Health care is abuzz about the importance of whole-person health. But what exactly does “whole-person health” mean? What does the evidence show about its effectiveness? And how can primary care adequately address the whole person?
Panelists will summarize the research on how interprofessional approaches to whole health—inclusive of physical, behavioral, spiritual, and socioeconomic well-being—impacts outcomes, costs, and the experiences of patients and their care teams.
Panelists include:
• Shawna Hudson, PhD, FSBM, Senior Associate Dean for Population Health Research, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School
• Darshan Mehta, MD, MPH, Medical Director, Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital
• Elizabeth (Beth) Pegg Frates, MD, FACLM, President, American College of Lifestyle Medicine; Director of Wellness Programming, Stroke Institute for Research and Recovery at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital
• Yael Lehmann, Interim Executive Director, Families USA
